About Jennifer Leonard

My research interests lie in the effect of changes in the environment on the genetic diversity of natural populations. I am interested both in the accumulation of biodiversity through divergence and speciation, and its loss through extinction- two sides of the same coin. I study these issues primarily in small mammals and carnivores of southeast Asia (Sundaland) and the Holarctic Quaternary.
