I’m an ancient historian and philologist who focuses mostly on ancient tragedy, history and historiography, ancient democracy, citizenship and immigration and their intersection with race, ethnicity and gender, and modern racialized engagements with Greco-Roman antiquity. I’m currently completing a book called “Ancient Identity / Modern Politics” for Johns Hopkins University Press.
